About Market Endeavour
Our name, “Market Endeavour”, originates from the ship "His Majesty’s Bark the Endeavour".
The Endeavour was built in 1764 and bought in 1768 by the British Royal Navy to serve in an expedition from Australia to New-Zeeland from 1769 to 1771. Luitenant James Cook was the leader of this expedition. Market Endeavour and James Cook with his HMS Bark the Endeavour are very much alike because they both discovered and still are discovering.
In the 18th century, James Cook discovered Australia and New-Zeeland; since 1996 Market Endeavour is exploring and discovering the food market for new opportunities. That’s why the name of the ship is ‘endeavour’ (aim and attempt). The contours of the ship are the base of the Market Endeavour logo.
